I'm not really one for wishes.

I wished for the captain to come here and for Ichigo to come back. Other than that, this place isn't worth shit but I got what I need.

Mitsuiro got a new yukata the year I ascended to head of the family. She told me the pattern, let me trace my fingers over the fabric. Said she wanted to try wearing a yukata I'd never seen, see how good my nose really was. I could tell her the colors, the pattern, the way it fell around her elbows, which trunk she'd been storing it in. She ruffled my hair and told me I was a smart kid. Her mother'd put flowers in her hair and she'd washed her face with a clean sort of soap.

I know it seems like I'd have wished for Ikki-kun to come back, but really I know he's gone somewhere with a sky, and I don't want to take him from there. So I wished that my big brother would be okay without Akira-kun around.

And then I got a new piece of paper and wished that wherever Ikki-kun is now, he'd love me the most someday.
