If you go back far enough, maybe the original Kabane who failed to take down Souhaku. His failure set my fate in motion, he gave me my powers, and without his association with the original Shoujou I would never have met Mitsuiro. Even my eyes are due to him; it was because the original Kabane ruined his own eyes to gain a better awareness of his own powers that I was expected to do the same.
